Hello Everyone! Happy New Year!
How were all of your holidays? I took some time off until the new year to spend some quality time with Chris and Cassie and visit my dad in Florida for Christmas. We decided to drive because it would be too stressful for Cassie Mae to be on a plane. It was a long trip, but definitely well worth it. I haven’t seen my dad in over 2 years, and I actually haven’t spent Christmas day with him since I was a teenager. I also had the privilege of spending time with relatives that I haven’t seen in 20 years!
Chris took this picture of my dad and I in the back yard. Yes, my dad is wearing shorts! I have to say, it’s really something to experience 80 degree weather on Christmas Day! It didn’t really feel like Christmas at all, but I didn’t mind. I found it to be refreshing. Winter weather is not exactly on my favorites list :(
Here’s little Cassie Mae in her Christmas Dress. What a little peanut. She loved being out on the lanai. We all did actually. Every morning after we all woke up we would sit around the table there and just talk and enjoy the smells of the warm air and sights of nearby neighbors leaving and returning from errands or stepping outside to grab their morning paper. The breeze was so refreshing. You could smell the rain from the occasional shower coming through. I really miss the peaceful mornings there.
Here’s a nice picture of my father with Chris. My dad was so funny, he would tell Chris “you’re my favorite son-in-law in Florida!” LOL My dad has a great sense of humor.
I took this quick little family photo with my selfie stick. We couldn’t get Cassie to look at the camera. I guess she was feeling a little shy that day ;)
I’m so happy I took this time off and made the trip out to Florida. It was the perfect opportunity to sort of rejuvenate and reassess my goals for 2016. I can’t wait to share all of the things I’ve decided to do this year with you all. I’ll be writing some details about my birthday, which is actually tomorrow the 5th (yikes!), I’ll be starting voice lessons again after about 10 years (SO exciting!), making beauty tutorial and haul videos, and stepping into some different modeling roles.
It’s going to be a new and exciting year here at Fashion Swain. What are some of your goals for 2016? I would love your comments below! May you all be blessed with great health and much happiness!
