I treated myself to a new decoration and it’s a little reminder for myself when I’m feeling negative or down:
There is a Pier 1 Imports within walking distance of my house and I spotted this pillow that says “THANKFUL” in the window the other day. Since I changed my Fashion Swain logo to white, black and gold I thought this would be the perfect personal message to display in my office. I think I’m going to put it on my chair.
I also wanted to talk a bit about the importance of being thankful, otherwise known as being grateful or appreciative. Had I not learned to be grateful for all the good things and people in my life, I would be caught up in a world of negativity, perhaps living an angry and miserable life. I believe you attract whatever you put into the universe, so if I were an ungrateful person who took everyone and everything for granted, I wouldn’t be blessed with the wonderful people and amazing things that have happened in my life thus far. I believe without gratitude we lose the opportunity to mature spiritually and emotionally.
This is the perfect time to recognize what those things and who those people are that have made my life a better place. I’m so very thankful for my husband Chris and our little furry blessing by the name of Cassie Mae. The fact that I finally found my passion in writing, modeling, fashion and being a blogger has changed my life immensely. I’m grateful for my family, my new found relationship with my loving and supportive father, friends who have proved to be loyal, my health, my talents, my drive to succeed, my faith, and the fact that I have people in my life who care.
I have a couple of questions for my readers: Do you believe what you put into the universe comes back to you? Do you feel gratitude is an important part of leading a successful and fulfilling life? Lastly, please leave a comment below so we can take the time to reflect on what you are thankful for and why. Perhaps you should also decorate your home with gratitude! Sending you all positive vibes!
