I had to tell you guys about this drink really quick. It’s been my favorite lately!
The brand is Vita Coco and this lemonade coconut water tastes amazing! I had tried plain coconut water before, but I didn’t really like it. When I saw this about a month ago at my local deli, I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did!
The ingredients are simple: coconut water, natural lemon puree, natural fruit sugar, and vitamin C. It’s also gluten free! I like to put mine in the freezer, and drink it just before it’s actually frozen. I’ve always been an avid water drinker, but sometimes you need a little extra something once in a while you know?
There are so many healthy benefits to coconut water. First and foremost, it has more potassium than 4 bananas. It’s super hydrating, low in calories, and has electrolytes. It’s also better for you than most sports drinks because it has less sodium, fewer calories, and way more potassium. As far as sugar goes, it might have less then sports drinks, but I wouldn’t say significantly less. That’s why I never drink the whole thing in one day. There are still calories and sugar to keep in mind that can add up. Especially if you are trying to lose weight, or just stay healthy in general. That’s where the plain coconut water would be a better choice over the lemonade, but like I said before, I have yet to acquire a taste for it. If you’re wondering how this one tastes, I would say it tastes like someone put a few drops of lime in some lemonade. That’s the best way I can describe it. Here’s the list of places to buy it.
