Since we aren’t quite out of the woods from Hurricane Joaquin yet, I thought today would be the perfect day to swatch the items I received from Sonia Kashuk! If you’re looking for a budget friendly eye and cheek palette with rich colors and textures, this Grand Bazaar Color Palette from her Grand Bazaar Collection is for you! I also had the pleasure of swatching the Contour Stick, which I’m loving as well.
These warm earthy pink tones swatch like an absolute dream:
I swatched the eyeshadows in order from left to right according the lineup of the actual palette, since they don’t have individual names. I used a base under the colors, although to be honest they probably would’ve looked just as incredible without one. All the shades in this palette are so smooth and creamy. They’re soft and easy to blend, and leave very little fallout. As far as color payoff goes, I think the swatches speak for themselves. My favorite is the deep plum color, which is great for pairing with a plumb lip for an amazing fall inspired look. Here are the cheek swatches:
These are also in order from left to right. The blushes are consistant with the characteristics and textures of the eyeshadows. They have a feel of velvet, and are also very smooth and easy to blend. The color payoff is high quality as well. I’m super excited to do a look with this palette!
Before I go I just want to show you the Contour Stick:
The Contour Stick is very smooth and very creamy! It glides along the skin with no problem. I’m not sure if the shade is dark enough to carve out my cheeks personally, but for those with fair to medium skin tones this is definitely worth a try. I use a bronzer powder similar to this shade for my face, then I contour my cheeks with a deeper color, just to add more of a hollowed out effect. I could try to contour my cheeks without adding bronzer to the rest of my face, just to see what happens, so maybe I’ll give it a try :)
You can find both the Grand Bazaar Palette ($19.99) and the Contour Stick ($10.99) at Target. I strongly recommend both of these for everyone. I will have a look to share with you all very soon! Thanks for reading, and as always…
